AUSTRALIA’S largest explorable collection of cacti is about ready to explode into a fit of colour.
Cactus Country in Strathmerton, only a 45-minutes’ drive from the heart of Shepparton, will transport you to a whole different planet.

There are more than 4,000 species of cacti and succulents imported from far reaches of the world, including North and South America, Africa and Mexico, spread across 12 acres of grounds with ornamental gardens to explore.

October and November are the most spectacular months to visit, with each bud blooming into a cactus flower and remaining bright and lustrous for only a handful of days.

Each day through spring at Cactus Country is bound to look a little different but impressive, nonetheless.

With a bar and restaurant on-site, a cactus nursery, and space to have events, weddings, photoshoots and more, all against a dry country background blossoming with vibrant pinks, yellows and reds, there is plenty to do and see in Strathmerton.
