The weather was perfect, with a warm day of 27 degrees ensuing a balmy evening, the perfect setting to enjoy performances from a stellar line-up, eat great food from local vendors and get into the Christmas spirit.

Each year the Shepparton event brings hundreds of community members together to celebrate the festive season with singing, dancing and entertainment. Sunday saw some familiar faces and brand-new stars gracing the stage including Nicky Pummeroy, Nigel Parsons, Jazz Trio (Wade, Rachael & Brian), Aaron Wallace, Fortessima (Emma, Sophie, Kirsty & Jamie), Monga Mukasa, Juliana De Quilettes, Shepparton Brass & Wind, G.V. Pipes & Drums and the Turaton Christmas Choir.

The event was sponsored by Greater Shepparton City Council in conjunction with Foott Waste Solutions, G.M.C.U. and SPC Factory Sales and was live streamed to Christmas lovers in the region who could not attend via Council’s website.

“There was plenty of Christmas Cheer at Carols by Candlelight, everyone had a fantastic time, the weather was perfect for sitting out in the garden, and I was beyond excited to see our local performers light up the stage, everyone did a great job,” said Mayor, Cr Shane Sali.
