THIS year marks the 21st birthday of Careers Day Out, one of the largest education, training and employment expos in Northern Victoria.

Held on Tuesday, April 30 at the Multipurpose Pavilion, Shepparton Showgrounds, the event promises to build on the success of 2018 in which over 1,400 students attended from across the Greater Shepparton region and beyond.

The day session from 9am to 2:30pm is open to Year 10 students and will host a record number of exhibitors actively engaging students by providing hands-on activities that start a conversation. There will once again be the Emergency Services Crash Scene and building on from this there will also be insight offered into the emergency services department. Students can also help make some bird boxes and there will be a chill-out zone where students will be provided with some great study tips to reduce stress. And of course there will be a large range of industries to explore.

The evening session from 4:30pm to 7pm (Activation & Innovation Expo) will be open to the public and will cater towards students wanting information about further study, parents looking to re-enter the workforce, job seekers, career changers and anyone wanting to start their own business.

As well as all of the exhibitors there will also be information on offer around the NDIS to help answer any questions and connect attendees to the right support or agency.

There will also be food and entertainment available on the night so bring the family down and explore what our Goulburn Valley has to offer.
