ATAR scores released this week

GV Grammar’s Sarah Roberts earned a 99.8 ATAR and would like to study Biomedicine at Melbourne University. She said, “My path might change after high school, but I’ve always known that I wanted to go into health.” The Benalla local was amongst the high achievers who spoke about how tough the school year has been jumping in and out of remote learning.

Greater Shepparton Secondary College’s Amie Forster was one of the school’s strongest contenders for dux, missing out on the title by only .5 points to GSSC’s Halil IsGuder. At school, biology and Italian language were some of her favourite units and she will continue these interests when she resumes studying Biomedicine at Monash University.

Expressing gratitude to her school community, Amie said, “In year 12 the relationship you have with friends and your teachers is so different. Your teachers become like your friends and they’re hugely supportive of us all.”

Securing the title of Notre Dame’s highest VCE achiever ever, Abby Smyth earned a 99.5 ATAR. Her favourite classes have been outdoor education and environmental science, which she will continue at Monash under a ‘Global Challenges’ degree. Abby said that some of her favourite moments through high school have been travel opportunities, such as the Italian study tour. Like many young people, Abby will relocate to Melbourne to continue studying. She said that she’s looking forward to a fresh start and continuing learning about her passions in science and the outdoors.
