Council announces holiday rubbish services schedule

AS the festive season approaches, Greater Shepparton City Council would like to inform residents of changes to its operating hours. The Council will close for the holiday period from 3.00pm on Friday, 22 December 2023, and will resume services at 8.15am on Tuesday, 2 January 2024.

During this period, the Council’s Customer Service phone and email services will also be unavailable. However, for urgent matters, residents can still reach out by dialling (03) 5832 9700 and following the prompts provided.

The Council’s Customer Service Counter will be back in operation from 9am on Tuesday, 2 January, maintaining its regular opening hours from 9am to 4pm, Monday through Friday.

In addition, residents are advised to note changes to their bin collection schedule over the Christmas and New Year period. Detailed information regarding the revised collection days will be provided in the accompanying table on page 17.

Furthermore, the Resource Recovery Centres (RRC) / Landfill will also observe specific operating hours during the holiday season. Please refer to the table on page 17 for exact timings or at https://greatershepparton.com.au/animals-environment-and-waste/waste-and-recycling

KidsTown

The KidsTown Playground is open for all of the school holidays from dawn to dusk.

KidsTown Dig In Cafe will be closed December 26, as well as 1 January 2024. On all other days normal Dig In Café operating hours will apply, 10am to 3pm seven days a week.

Maternal and Child Health Service

All centres will be closed from 3pm on Friday, December 22. From Wednesday, December 27 until Friday, January 12, a reduced service to cater for new babies (newborn, two week, four week and eight week KAS visits only) will be available at:

· Balaclava Road MCH Centre, 205 Balaclava Road, Shepparton

· Riverside Plaza MCH Centre, Shop 21C 8025 GV Highway, Shepparton

· Mooroopna Children and Families Centre (Mooroopna Primary School), enter via Park Street, Mooroopna
