Council approve Small Town Festive Decoration and New Business Grants

THREE Small Town Festive Decoration Grants and one New Business Grant were approved for funding at the June Council Meeting.

The Small Town Festive Decorations Grant program provides small towns and localities with a population of less than 10,000 people, the opportunity to apply for a grant of up to $2000 to install festive decorations to celebrate the festive season.

The Dookie and District Development Forum, Merrigum Community Group and Toolamba Lions Club were all successful in obtaining funding of $2000.

Council’s New Business Grant provides funding for infrastructure or initiatives that support the establishment of new businesses in Greater Shepparton’s CBD and on the main streets within the region’s small towns.

Thrive4Life was successful in obtaining a New Business Grant of $2,200.

Thrive4Life has applied for funding for works associated with updating staff amenities including providing staff with tearoom facilities at their new premises in Wyndham St, Shepparton.
