
DANIEL Andrews has announced his resignation as Victorian premier after a nine-year tenure, announcing he will finish up from the job and as member for Mulgrave effective from 5pm Wednesday. The premier made the announcement today, September 26, at a snap press conference. Andrews assumed office in December 2014 and led the Victorian Labor Party to a third term of government at the state election last November. The next premier will be selected by caucus at midday on Wednesday, September 27.
