THROUGH the giveaway, The Adviser in partnership with the GMCU, has been rewarding locals for more than 20 years! Over a million entries have been received, with all of those entrants’ spending money at local businesses, and hundreds of them have been rewarded with a real boost.
Adviser managing director, Geoff Adams said, “The giveaway shopping local promotion began in 2003, and since then we have seen hundreds of locals win a share of the prize, which is as good as cash, and over a million paid entries have been placed via hundreds of local businesses.
“That means that together with the GMCU and help from the local community, we have helped to keep the support up for local business and continue to grow our wonderful region.
“We are immensely proud that the GMCU continues to support such an important initiative. They have always been a big advocate of the local community and are involved in helping support many local groups, organisations, residents and the wider business community, and this is just another way they continue to do just that,” Mr Adams said.
