HAVE you got an abundance of Christmas ham sitting in the fridge? Don’t let it go to waste, here are some easy ideas about how you can get the most out of those leftovers:

Best toasted sangas ever: It’s hard to beat the perfection of a toasted sandwich. Not only are they super easy to pull together when you don’t feel like cooking post-Christmas, they are practically fool proof. Elevate your toasted sandwich game by using your leftover ham which would taste much better than regular deli ham.

Quiche: Quiche is another easy meal to make when it’s too hot too slave over the stove and it’s hard to remember what day it is between now and New Year’s Eve. It’s a great way to use up a lot of the ham at once and a chance to also use up forgotten zucchini, capsicum and mushrooms withering away in the fridge.

Pea and Ham soup: Soup doesn’t have to be a winter-only food. It also freezes well so you can have it on hand to defrost for easy lunches and dinners throughout the school holidays. Besides ham, all you need are split peas, onion, carrots and celery. Make it in the slow cooker which makes it even easier.
