ONE of the drivers that was involved in the fatal road accident at Pine Lodge, which resulted in the death of four people, has been charged by police.

Victoria Police major collision investigation unit detectives have charged a 41-year-old Shepparton man with four counts of dangerous driving causing death following the incident.
A car and ute collided on Pine Lodge Road, near Cosgrove-Lemnos Road, about 4.45pm on January 4.
The ute driver, a 29-year-old Nathalia man, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
There were five people in the car that collided with the ute, struck a road sign and came to rest in a nearby paddock.
The driver of that car was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, where he remains under police guard.
He has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on June 8, 2023.
