BRINGING serious fun for the whole family while promoting greater awareness about the vital role emergency services play in the community, Fire Rescue Victoria (FRV) is pleased to present the Combined Emergency Services Family Fun Day on Saturday, February 25.
Bound to excite big and little kids alike, the free fun day will showcase local services including FRV, Country Fire Authority (CFA), Police, State Emergency Service (SES), Ambulance Victoria as well as other emergency services along with community and sporting groups.
With emergency vehicles and equipment on display as well as flying drones overhead, there will be no better way to enjoy learning about how essential services operate while saying hello to local service men and women who work to safeguard the community.
Further entertainment for the kids will also be available with free face painting, prize packs and giveaways while food stalls and sausage sizzle will satisfy the hungry.
Sporting clinics will also keep attendees active throughout the day.
FRV South & East regional assistant chief fire officer, Gavin Rooney said, “The Combined Emergency Services Family Fun Day, is a great opportunity for FRV and the other emergency services to engage with the local Shepparton community and for the community to get to know the emergency services that serve the area.”
The Combined Emergency Services Family Fun Day will take place from 10am to 3pm, Saturday, February 25 and will be held at St Paul’s African House, 54 Poplar Road, Shepparton.
