A VIBRANT celebration of Albanian culture is set to hit town again with the 25th annual Shepparton Albanian Harvest Festival, on Sunday, March 3 at Queens Gardens. Building on the success of the 2023 festival, this year’s event is expected to be the largest yet. The festival, one of the largest community-run events in Shepparton, offers a unique showcase of Albanian traditions, music, and cuisine.

From 11am to 5pm, festival-goers will be treated to traditional Albanian music and dance performances, a variety of Albanian food for purchase, and a kids’ zone for family fun. The festival also features a fruit and vegetable market, offering locally grown produce from the Goulburn Valley at wholesale prices. This has attracted many attendees from Melbourne in past years.

Shepparton Albanian Society President, Reg Qemal, encourages a diverse crowd to join the festivities. “Our committee would very much like to encourage a more diverse crowd to come along and help us celebrate our culture by sharing our entertainment, food and traditions,” he said.

The festival offers free entry with a suggested gold coin donation. For more information, visit http://sheppartonalbaniansociety.org/
