MANY families are doing it tough in the community, so any time an organisation or an individual sets out to do a little good and help others in the community it makes the region a little bit better for everyone who lives here.
With caring for the greater community in mind, the Wilmot Road Primary School Community Hub is holding its third Free Clothes Event on Thursday and Friday, June 20 and 21 from 9am to 3pm in the Hub, 84 Wilmot Road. The event is open to the whole community, everyone is welcome, and all items are free.
“Last year we had 161 people through the doors over the two days, so I am hoping to beat that this year. There is a range of clothes on offer including men’s, women’s and children’s clothing and shoes. There will also be some blankets as well. All the items have been graciously donated by the local community. Any leftover clothing will be donated to local organisations,” said hub leader Sarah Pearson.

The Wilmot Road Primary School Community Hub runs a lot of important free programs for locals including:
English Class with childminding: all levels welcome
Playgroup
Citizenship class
Crochet, Embroidery & Knitting
Gardening and Nature Play
The Hub is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9am to 3pm. To become involved or learn more about Free Clothes Event or any of their programs follow Sarah Pearson HubLeader on Facebook.
