IN the lead up to the state election, to be held on Saturday, November 26, the Committee for Greater Shepparton (C4GS) will host a candidates’ forum for voters to ask questions and learn more about potential representatives.
Voters are encouraged to attend and learn more about issues that affect Northern Victoria and the Shepparton District. It is the ideal time to hear about each candidate’s views and their vision for the electorate.

Independent Suzanna Sheed MP, who currently holds the seat of Shepparton, will be joined on stage at Riverlinks Eastbank by Nationals candidate Kim O’Keeffe, and Liberal candidate Cheryl Hammer for the free public event.
The ballot will be declared November 11, and candidates have until this time to register for election and are invited to speak at the forum.
Linda Nieuwenhuizen, C4GS CEO, said, “We will be doing our best to track down all the candidates for a diverse and engaging panel.”

Mayor Kim O’Keeffe and Member of the Victorian Legislative Assembly Peter Walsh.
Voters must enrol or update their details by Tuesday, November 8 to be able to vote. This includes young people who may be voting for the first time.
“With floods and everything going on lately, including VCE Year 12 exams, it is important the community know the key dates in the lead up to the election. To enrol or to update your details, go online to the VEC website,” said Linda.
The forum will start at 5.30pm on Tuesday, November 15. To register, visit sheppartonforum.eventbrite.com.au. Questions for candidates are to be submitted via Eventbite, or emailed to jodie.flemming@c4gs.com.au
