THE GMCU $25,500 Giveaway has finished up for another year. Bianca Moulton has won the top prize shopping at Fairley’s SUPA IGA.

“That is amazing, awesome, fantastic. I just had my tonsils out so I can’t yell. I bought a lot of ice cream over the past week. I can’t believe it, I’ve won $5,000!” said Bianca.

A further eight people have won $500 each from the grand prize draw.

Tatura Foodworks claimed another winner. Debbie Cheeseman said, “My gosh, it’s so good. $500 is awesome. Really exciting.”

There was another winner at Coles Riverside Plaza. Amy Louise Butler said winning a giveaway prize made her Monday.

“I had a big shop and my husband said I better win one of the GMCU prizes with that receipt total.” She said, “I won on a different receipt, but I still won.”

Maria Forte was glad to answer the phone to The Adviser when she found out she had won shopping at Intersport Shepparton.

“I nearly wasn’t going to answer your call, not knowing the number but wow I’m glad I did. I’m going to be very happy shopping.”

Karen Newlan entered at Shop 221, where she bought a necklace for her mum to go with another dress purchased there. She might be like SPC Factory Sale’s winner, Sharon Cavallaro, who said, “It’s going to be great to spend it back into the stores participating in the promotion.”

“I can’t believe it. It will come in handy as we are building a new house so we can use it to buy something for it,” said Rhonda Harvey who entered at Big W.

WB Hunter had another winner. Sherril White said, “I’d like to thank the GMCU, The Adviser, Hunters and all the other participating businesses.”

While Platypus Market scored a champion before the close of the competition. Finding out she is taking home $500, Melinda Fitzsimmons said, “Oh my gosh. Thank you that’s lovely. WOW it’s amazing. It’s a bit of a shock.”

“I love how this competition works with the money going back to the local businesses in it.”

Congratulations to the 46 winners this year and thank you everyone for supporting the Giveaway. Most importantly though, for supporting local businesses. Your contribution helps our region to thrive.
