GMCU celebrated their achievements over the past year last Wednesday evening at the Museum of Vehicle Evolution (MOVE) at their GMCU Annual General Meeting 2023. GMCU welcomed approximately 50 attendees including Members, the GMCU Board of Directors and staff.
They wanted to celebrate the year with their Members and give back to the community by inviting keynote speaker leading Senior Constable Leigh Johnson to talk to about cyber safety and their personal security.
The AGM presented another opportunity for the GMCU Executive Leadership team to talk to Members and discuss how they can continue to play a critical role in the community by supporting them and local organisations’ financial needs.
“The rate of online scams is increasing and scammers are becoming more sophisticated. It’s important we connect our Members with the right resources and information to protect themselves from being scammed, and in the unfortunate case that they’re the victim of a scam know who to turn to. Continuing to highlight the topic of Cyber Safety and having Leigh join us for our upcoming AGM is just another way we’re putting our Members first,” said Chief Executive Officer, Ged Smith.
Their unwavering commitment to Banking with Purpose remains a focus for their future plans and initiatives.
