Grammar top scores

DESPITE the unorthodox year, the 2020 cohort of graduating Goulburn Valley Grammar School (GVGS) students finished with a median VCE study score of 35 (out of 50) – two points up on 2019.

The results places GVGS among the top 30 schools in the state based on the percentage of study scores achieved over 40 (21.6 percent).

Dux of the cohort, Ashima Tyagi, and classmate Elly Miechel, both achieved a perfect score of 50 in English. Students Eloise Schmedje and Meg Eishold scored a perfect 50 in Health and Human Development.

Notre Dame College had a median VCE study score of 28, with 4.1 percent of study scores 40 or over. Student, Xavier Russell, scored an impressive 47 in CVE VET Engineering Studies, while Antonia Cassetta scored a 46 in English, Georgia Dunning a 45 in Health and Human Development, and Sarah Collins a 45 in Biology.

Greater Shepparton Secondary College Wanganui campus’ graduating class had a median study score of 24, while the McGuire campus recorded a median study score of 22. Dux of the school, Olivia Gullick, scored a 47 in Physical Education and a 46 in Further Mathematics, While Laura Cole scored an impressive 43 in Further Mathematics and a 42 in Physical Education.
