
THE 2024 Greater Shepparton Citizenship Awards recently celebrated the unsung heroes who have significantly contributed to the community. The awards were a testament to the spirit of service, commitment, and excellence that embodies the Greater Shepparton region. Awards were presented in various categories, with the winners from Shepparton being honoured at the event.
Among the distinguished recipients at the awards was Dr Peter Leffler, who was honoured as the Senior Citizen of the Year. This award is a testament to his exceptional service to the Shepparton community, spanning a remarkable 55 years.
Dr Leffler has been a stalwart in the field of emergency care, serving as an event first aid doctor with the Shepparton Division of St John Ambulance.
His dedication extends beyond his professional duties, as he actively mentors members at St John’s at Packham St and contributes his clinical expertise to their training syllabus.
This prestigious award, presented at Government House, Melbourne, recognises his invaluable contributions and unwavering commitment.
