New speed limit signage will commence on Tuesday, June 9 across streets in inner North Shepparton, with works expected to take two weeks to complete. The changes will reduce speed limits to 40km/h on 34 streets, including areas around schools and community facilities.
While Railway Parade and Hawdon Street will have their limits reduced to 50km/h, roads and streets bordered by Wyndham Street, Balaclava Road, Nixon Street, and the aforementioned Railway Parade and Hawdon Street will be reduced to 40km/h. The adjustments aim to improve safety for pedestrians, cyclists and drivers in response to community feedback.
