Over 100 Taekwondo instructors, including Shepparton’s very own Koryo Taekwondo Centre, have gathered in Sydney this week to undertake Kukkiwon’s International Master Course and Poom / Dan Examiners Course in readiness for Kukkiwon’s new promotion test regulations, which take effect in July 2023.
The purpose of the 40-hour Kukkiwon International Master Course is to enhance the Master’s qualification delivered via the curriculum of Taekwondo worldwide to consolidate the techniques of the Kukkiwon and contribute to expanding global Taekwondo by unifying Taekwondo skills and techniques.
The purpose of the Poom / Dan Examiners Course course is to establish standards of the Examiner qualification for the Poom/Dan Promotion Test, to operate the Poom/Dan Promotion test, and to judge fairly and effectively under the rules and regulations of the Promotion Test. The course is a 24 hour program that embraces a wide range of topics, composed of two themes Taekwondo Theories (Rules and regulation for Promotion Test) and Practical training (Method of Judging, Poomsae).
