It is National Skills Week!

NOW entering its 12th year, National Skills Week sets out to highlight the profile and status of vocational learning by dispelling outdated myths and showcasing the many attractive opportunities for all Australians.

Australia continues to experience an increase in demand for skilled labour, which requires increased workforce participation, increased skill attainment and the employment of attraction and retention strategies.

National Skills Week, August 22-28, 2022, aims to raise awareness of the diversity of training and career opportunities available, pathways into training and education, and the importance of trades, skills and Vocational Education and Training (VET) to today’s society.

The theme for 2022 is ‘A Universe of Skills: Go Beyond Your Imagination,’ which asks people to re-imagine possibilities for careers, opportunities and emerging industries.

Discover careers, pathways and opportunities in skills and Vocational Education that you may not know about, thought about or even imagined. Careers in emerging industries and areas, new technology, future skills, and jobs. This year’s theme prompts people to question:

Did you ever imagine a career where…
Could you possibly imagine a job which…
What do you imagine for your future…
