Lake Bartlett upgrades

WORKS have commenced at Tatura’s Lake Bartlett, where Council are installing prefabricated public toilet facilities.

The need for a toilet facility in the area was raised by community members, with the Tatura Community Planning Group listing it as a priority item and the installation approved by Council in the 2021/2022 budget.

The public toilet facility includes one unisex accessible cubicle and one unisex ambulant cubicle and will be located on the western side of the reserve, set back from the road along Martin Street, between the Italian Social Club and Scout Hall.

The location was chosen in consultation with the Tatura Community Planning Group and is near existing services and between trees to avoid the need for removals. The proximity to the BBQ shelter and picnic area will provide visitors with easy access to the facilities.

There is parking on Martin Street in front of the facility, with accessible parking and an accessible path to be made available.
