Reflecting on the past few years, the Goulburn Valley has been through a lot. GROW has been there to listen, advocate, support, and empower local businesses and job seekers.
The predominant topic of conversation has been workforce – finding, recruiting, training, and maintaining a skilled team to take local businesses into the future.
Through these conversations, we uncovered the disconnect between job advertisements and potential job seekers. GROW Greater Shepparton created a website unique to the region for genuine local jobs to be posted at growgreatershepparton.com.au.
As the platform evolved, we expanded the website to help our young people break into the workforce. GROW collaborated with GMLLEN on the Youth Tab which allows local businesses to post entry-level jobs directly to youth. More recently GROW partnered with local organisations to hold a “Youth Employment Summit” which spoke to local businesses about how to navigate employing young people.
With so much growth happening in our region, now is the time to provide an opportunity to those you may not have considered before.
