Ten years after purchasing Fletcher Metals and National Metals, they were rebranded as Future Recycling in 2018. Since 2014 the businesses had been voluntarily carbon neutral.

Now Future Recycling are the only certified Carbon Neutral waste business, nationally, under the National Carbon Offset Standard.

“Our services are safe and innovative, tailored to our customers’ needs.” states Shepparton’s manager Daniel Thewma.

“90% of the time it is a FREE service for the customer. We also offer fantastic rebates for ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials.”

“We place an emphasis on being honest, transparent and reliable whilst using efficient, sustainable and cost-effective solutions.”

Recently, Future Recycling invested over $2M in equipment and storage upgrades to its Shepparton Facility. The machinery includes a Bonfig Shear, Moffet Forklift, Scania prime mover and a Scania hooklift truck.

Supporting local businesses, Future Recycling contracted Shepparton’s Intercontinental Trailers, to make and custom design a trailer, with the moffet attaching to the back of the prime mover/trailer combo.

Six new holding bays, for separating materials for export, were built totally by local trades people and businesses.

The new container tilter means Future Recycling can further support local industry and jobs, by exporting directly from the local yard. Previously, materials were exported via Melbourne.

Future Recycling plans further diversification and growth, exploring new sustainable ways of recycling ferrous and nonferrous materials, thereby reducing landfill.
