GOULBURN Valley Community Legal Centre (GVCLC) supports the people of the Goulburn Valley by helping with a wide variety of legal issues including family-violence cases, employment matters, motor vehicle accidents, tenancy and ho using matters.
The Member for Northern Victoria, Wendy Lovell is calling for the State Government to provide funding support for the GVCLC to cope with increasing work demands due to COVID-19.
Ms Lovell said that in the face of the many challenges caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, many people need legal services to help them navigate their options and safety.
“GVCLC are experiencing an increase in complex family law cases, child protection cases and parenting matters over custody battles since the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Too often country areas are not adequately funded, and I want to ensure GVCLC receive their fair share of the funding.”
