ORGANISERS of the annual Foodshare fundraising dinner, ‘Make a Meal in June’ have once again been faced with the threat of uncertainty, due to the instability and constantly evolving pandemic restrictions.

With no guarantee of annual funding, the event, which is held every Winter at The Woolshed at Emerald Bank, is vital for the survival of Foodshare; as it generates approximately a third of the organisation’s annual operating costs.

So, when faced with a similar scenario to that of last year, and with cancelling the event just not an option, the decision was made to return to the alternative model they adopted last year. Shining in their commitment to our community’s most vulnerable, Foodshare have announced the 2021, ‘Make a Meal of June – Takeout Style 2.0!’ initiative.

The campaign has already seen a generous donation of $20K from dedicated long-time Foodshare supporters – the Attwood Trust, but there’s still a way to go to reach the target $50K. So, across the community, both commercially and personally locals are being urged to get involved, and fast track 50.

Those keen to do so can do so can do so by simply heading to the website, www.thewoolshedatemeraldbank.com.au and placing their order for a three-course meal for two, and quality bottle of Fowles Wine for $120. Orders close at 12 noon on June 22, and collection is available from The Woolshed, on Friday, June 25. Meals are served ready to be heated and enjoyed at your convenience, with some home delivery options also available.
