HE has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of children locally, and now Paul Archer of Natrad Batteries needs a hand to continue his tremendous work.

In addition to running his own business, Paul has raised $668,000 to the GV Health’s children ward, and thousands more supporting Give Me 5 For Kids, the Kiwanis and Rushworth SES.

“I thought it was extraordinary that SES volunteers could be working at four in the morning, say cutting someone out of a car that’s been in an accident, and would have to spend time during the week cooking barbecues to raise money to help people,” he said.

Looking to the future, Paul needs to raise money to retain the location of his business and to purchase a larger truck, which would aid him in collecting materials for donations.

“When I go out on the road, I’ll go to somewhere like Finley and collect two tonne and then need to come back to collect what’s left. A new truck would save me time, money, and fuel.”

Rushworth SES have started a GoFundMe where you can donate toward a more appropriate vehicle, or Paul would be very happy if an individual or business could donate a used vehicle, which the money could be put towards fixing up.

Paul aspires to one day have his own charity foundation. In the meantime, a donation to Paul Archer, Natrad’s ‘Battery Man’, will ensure local children and families may still be supported by his public spirit and unwavering dedication to improving the
lives of young people.

Donations can be made at Natrad Batteries located at 20 Campbell Street, Shepparton, or via the GoFundMe page www.gofundme.com/f/paul-archer-needs-a-truck-for-his-charity-work
