SHOP local and support Maude Street traders are the messages from Greater Shepparton City Council. With the ability to shop local and support local businesses in the precinct, you can access free, three-hour parking off Rowe Street and there are temporary pedestrian walkways.

From books, pharmacy items, phones, hairdressing services, jewellers, bread and fresh pizza, among many other businesses, you can access all this and more on Maude Street, between High and Vaughan Streets in the middle of Shepparton’s CBD.

The second stage of construction is almost complete and contractors will then move to the final stage of redevelopment. This means the new intersection and traffic lights at Maude and Vaughan Streets will be up and running.

The final stage of construction includes redevelopment of the area along Maude Street, between Rowe and High Street.

During this final stage, there will be no turning traffic into Maude Street from High Street. There will also be no through access to Maude Street from Union Lane. Access to Maude Street however will still be available from Vaughan and Rowe Streets.

The roadworks are temporary and once complete, the shopping precinct will be vastly improved.

Make sure you take note of the changed conditions when driving through the area. Remember to shop local and ‘shop Maude’. For more info about the works including timelines, visit greatershepparton.com.au.
