DID you know that Shepparton has its very own Toy Library? Established in 1982, the Cubby Toy Library offers families a fun, affordable, and sustainable way to access a huge variety of toys. With over 1,000 toys available to borrow, the Cubby helps reduce waste, save money, and keep playtime fresh and exciting for young children.
More than just a library, the Cubby is a vibrant, welcoming space where families connect, volunteers contribute, and the whole community benefits. As a not-for-profit, the Cubby is inclusive, safe, and open to everyone.
The Cubby is proud to partner with local groups to create meaningful opportunities for skill-building and community involvement. VCE students from Indie Secondary School recently completed a full stocktake of its collection, while a group of women from Community Accessability now run the library each Wednesday. On Saturdays, several school students volunteer under the guidance of our Cubby team members on duty. They are gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment.

Excitingly, starting this June, the Cubby will launch a new initiative to support families of children with developmental delays and disabilities. If you or someone you know could benefit from this service, you’re encouraged you to book a spot and help spread the word.
Annual memberships are just $50 per family or $30 for concession cardholders, with a refundable $50 bond. You won’t find better value for hours of fun!
Whether you’re looking to borrow toys, meet other families, or give back through volunteering, the Cubby Toy Library welcomes you with open arms. Come and see what it’s all about—they’d love to meet you!
You can find the Cubby Toy Library on the corner of Balaclava and Numurkah Road, Shepparton. Open Wednesdays, 1-3pm, and Saturdays, 10.30am-12.30pm. To learn more, contact Khadeejah (0411 499 750) or Sarah (0438 578 828).
