THE Shepparton Festival has appointed Kristen Retallick as the new festival director.
Kristen has worked in the Arts for approximately two decades and possesses a breadth of well-rounded experience and deep community connections.
She said she is looking forward to commencing her role and taking the festival in a new direction built upon the foundation laid by the committee and outgoing operational team.
“We are delighted to welcome Kristen to this important role. Her work as an artist, producer, curator, leader and vanguard for community engagement signals the beginning of a new era for Shepparton Festival.
“The committee is looking forward to supporting her to deliver enriching creative events and experiences for 2023’s Festival and beyond,” said Festival chair, Kirsten Green.
Kristen will begin her new role in August. Information regarding the 2023 festival’s Expression of Interest process and the ‘Call to Create 2023’ branding competition will be released shortly afterwards.
