River bank stabilisation works

GREATER Shepparton City Council wishes to advise that a contractor will be completing river bank stabilisation works from Monday, February 19, along Tom Collins Drive and the Aquamoves Precinct in Shepparton. Works are expected to be carried out over a four-week period, weather permitting. Aquamoves will remain open, however carparking spaces will be impacted and traffic management arrangements will be in place during this time for the safety of workers, pedestrians and all users of the area. Delays are to be expected.

V/Line industrial action

PLANNED work stoppages on the V/Line network have continued this week, with the third four-hour work stoppage this month on Monday, February 19 and again on Friday, February 23. A limited number of coaches are replacing trains and passengers are advised to avoid travelling in the morning, if possible, as significant delays are expected. Measles alert for Melbourne Airport and passengers

A CASE of measles has been reported in a returned overseas traveller who transited through Melbourne Airport while infectious. The individual travelled through the T2 international terminal between Wednesday, February 14 at 22:00 and 00:20 and on Thursday, February 15. The case also went through the T1 domestic terminal on February 15 between 13:30 and 14:35 before travelling to South Australia. People who were at Melbourne Airport during these times should monitor for symptoms up to March 3-4, 2024.
