No matter the business or industry, nothing is more important than hiring and developing the right people. Since 2005, Recruitment Select has been a stalwart in connecting businesses with the right talent by providing tailored staffing solutions, from labour hire to permanent placements, across the local, broad-based economy.
By offering end-to-end recruitment services, covering everything from advertising and screening to interviewing and placement, Recruitment Select has amplified commercial endeavours across the region (and beyond) for over 20 years, delivering a tailored, flexible workforce.
Far more than a standard recruitment agency, Recruitment Select combines commercial staffing solutions with a strong social focus. As a certified social enterprise operating under the umbrella of Worktrainers Ltd, which also includes GAME Traffic and Contracting, Recruitment Select reinvests its profits into Geared4Careers, a youth engagement and employment program that supports secondary students in identifying and pursuing career pathways for a productive and fulfilling future.

Since its inception in 2011, Geared4Careers has grown significantly. What began with just 32 students now supports its largest cohort to date, with 1,900 students this year and has guided more than 5,000 participants through the program. Working closely with careers practitioners, the program is now embedded in 23 secondary schools across regional Victoria and southern New South Wales and is expanding further with investment in digital resources to support more remote students.
As CEO Josh Hudson said:
“We’ve built up GAME and Recruitment Select to self-fund these programs, avoiding red tape so we can tailor support to each community, because Shepparton is very different to Wangaratta, and Wangaratta is very different to Bendigo.
“We begin working with students from Year 9, helping them become job-ready by supporting them with everything from acquiring tax file numbers, bank accounts and birth certificates to resume writing, interview preparation and workplace tours that offer firsthand experience of how real workplaces operate.
“From Furphy Foundry and childcare centres to courtrooms, we ensure students explore industries that match their interests. Then it’s about supporting them in taking the next step, whether that’s entering a traineeship, apprenticeship, or attending university or TAFE open days.”
