AFTER a year of flood-induced hiatus, Shepparton’s local waterways are once again teeming with life and activity. Steve Threlfall, owner of Trelly’s Outdoor Shepparton, a hub for fishing and hunting enthusiasts, is thrilled to see the community back outdoors. “It’s a sight for sore eyes, seeing the locals back fishing after such a long break,” he says.

The promise of better fishing comes hand-in-hand with the much-anticipated cod opening on December 1. Trelly shares, “The Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority has promised low and dry banks for the cod opening. Things are looking really good heading into the fishing opening.”
