WITH the rumble of postie bikes fading in the distance, the mud and grit from the Victorian Alps washed away for another year, representatives of the Skeeta Memorial Ride recently made a presentation of $7100 to the team at GV Hospice.

The riders of the Goulburn Valley Motorcycle Club have made the trek to Wonnangatta Station on postie bikes for over 30 years, with this year being the 10th time funds have been donated to GV Hospice (over $45,000 in total to date).

Leader of the group Robert “King” Palma said postie bikes and parts are always in demand in the region from members of the group.

“The contribution of the Skeeta Memorial Ride members is greatly appreciated, and their exploits are legendary. We really do value their support that goes directly into providing services in our community.”
