Shepparton meeting vaccine targets

ACCORDING to Federal Department of Health data released on Monday, Shepparton has reached 81 percent with their first Covid vaccination, well ahead of the rest of the state at 72.8 percent.
47 percent have been double vaccinated compared to the rest of Victoria at 44 percent.

According to the roadmap outlined by the Premier, Dan Andrews, on Sunday, we are still under restrictions and will remain so until the rest of state gets to 80 percent double vaccinated.

Given there is some six weeks between the first and second, that may not occur until sometime in October. It is also dependent upon the level of vaccine hesitancy some people are currently displaying.

In the announcements this week, the cross-border bubble has been relaxed with movements across the border, with the exception of Albury, now open to people who can show their licences.
