IF YOU LOOKED out your window Sunday evening, you may have been in for a bit of a fright.

Fake blood splattered on windows, carved pumpkins, and fuzzy fake spiders nestled in garden trees and amongst awnings set the scene across the district for Halloween this year.

Spooky decorations were not enough to keep the hordes of children from demanding, “Trick or treat!” to their neighbours, in hopes of taking home some sweet bounty to feast upon.

Every year, Halloween proves to be a spook-tacular family event that involves the whole community.

The opportunity to get dressed up, enjoy some treats, and take home some extra prizes from one of the numerous Halloween-themed competitions happening in the region was welcomed by many this year.

Getting out in our community, dressing up and practicing the gift of giving and receiving is an incredibly special way to welcome new freedoms and the balmy evenings to come.
