Slime time at Orrvale Primary School colour run

By Aaron Cordy

ORRVALE Primary School cut laps to raise money for new sports equipment when they held their first-ever colour run. Decked in white, the students from foundation to grade six ran two laps around an obstacle course where teachers took their revenge and dashed the kids in coloured powder or sprayed them with water guns.

A challenge was set to reach $30,000 for the Principal Adam Brennan to be slimed, which the parents banded together to raise over $38,000 for the school. Despite some smooth talking from Mr B, he was coated in green slime to the delight of students and parents watching on.

The event was a massive success thanks to all the work of teacher Stacey Karolidis and hopefully will find its way onto the school calendar next year.
