THE Shepparton Legacy Club support the widows and the children of veterans who have given their lives or their health for our country.

They provide the essential social, financial and developmental support that the families of veterans depend on each day and the official Legacy Week fundraiser is from August 29 until September 4 2021, however donations are welcome throughout the year.

The usual Legacy bears such as Camo RAAF, Camo Army, Navy Sailor, Nurse and Light Horse Trooper are available, plus Legacy badges, and they have added a new $10.00 annual year dated badge.

Supporters may visit Legacy House to purchase directly while adhering to COVID-19 protocols or merchandise can be mailed out.

They support around 341 widows and 13 dependants within the Goulburn Valley and offer socialisation activities, such as taking the ladies out on a monthly basis to places of interest and lunches, offering funds to help cover their utility bills plus delivering them a big bunch of flowers on their birthday and christmas gifts. Legacy House also provides a space where the ladies can come along and have a chat / cuppa or just have a quiet place to relax.

Shepparton Legacy Club Inc is located at 20 Edwards St, Shepparton, can be contacted via email at shepleg@bigpond.com or on 58215525. There is a national donation portal at www.legacy.com.au/donate with donations going to the Legacy House in the postcode that you use.
