THE business permit process should become simpler for new and local businesses, with Greater Shepparton City Council announcing a dedicated investment facilitation coordinator role to guide through the process of obtaining permits to start or expand a business.

The investment facilitation coordinator will be available for one-on-one meetings with operators and can assist with streamlining the application process, understanding the requirements of different permits, submitting applications and provide business advice.

“Council’s aim is to reduce the time it takes you to get the doors open, so you can get your business started, that’s where I come in, I will meet up with you, discuss your business goals and help you along your business journey,” said investment facilitation coordinator, Lisa Kubeil.

Council has also developed an online assessment form which asks what your plans are with the opening or expansion of your business. Once submitted, this information is received by the coordinator who will make contact and provide support as quickly as possible. The online assessment form can be found online at www.greatershepparton.com.au/business-permits/

To speak with the investment facilitation coordinator, phone Council on 5832 9700 or email investment@shepparton.vic.gov.au
