TATURA’S new, larger library is on track to open by the end of the year.

Goulburn Valley Libraries services manager, Jenny Wyllie, said locals wouldn’t even recognise the ‘old’ library.

“We are excited about the new Tatura Library. It looks stunning from the road, and will be even more so inside,” she said.

“The floor space has doubled, and will be really flexible, with shelving able to be moved to accommodate large or small events.

“The building will be light and welcoming, and we hope it becomes a destination place for the community, with a meeting room for community groups, a great children’s area, and lots of areas for quiet reading or group study.

“The flexibility of the space means that we will be able to offer a range of new programming for all ages, including author talks, and improved computer access.”
