FROM high society England to the opulent ballrooms and stolen glances of the popular TV series, Bridgerton, debutante balls have been a defining event on many a social calendar for generations.
Although the ‘deb’ has waxed and waned in popularity over time, it is thrilling to see once again the region’s senior high-school students adorn themselves in elegant white gowns and stylish suits and tuxedos to embrace a night of etiquette, dance and good, old-fashion fun.
Getting the deb season well and truly underway on Friday June 16 at GV Hotel were senior students from the Greater Shepparton Secondary College, impressing all with their skill, presentation and poise.
