GOULBURN Murray Local Learning & Employment Network (GMLLEN) and Greater Shepparton Council have joined forces to bring Careers Day Out back to our region on Wednesday May 18 and Thursday May 19, following a two year hiatus.

Careers Day Out is the largest education, training and employment expo in Northern Victoria and for the first time in two years, returns in a live format to host over 2,500 students, job-seekers and visitors.

The event will be held at Wodonga Tafe, 145 Wanganui Road Shepparton, at the site previously known as DECA, which has recently undergone major renovations.

The focus for this year’s event is engagement and interaction.

“This year, we are doing things differently and offering curated hubs where students and visitors can get involved in a hands-on workshop, demonstration or talk to connect with local businesses and explore the variety of job opportunities.” says Rebecca Costa-Lowe, GMLLEN.

“We want to provide a platform to help spark ideas, inspiration and excitement for students, parents and job-seekers after a couple of challenging years.” says Jenna Hearn, Greater Shepparton City Council.

A range of exhibitors include emergency services, social work and family care, transportation, warehouse and logistics, technology and innovation, industry associations, local industry, employers, employment and support agencies. There will be industry-specific hubs throughout the space, allowing for detailed discussions about these job pathways.

From past students to parents looking to re-enter the workforce, career changers and those wanting to upskill. All are invited to attend and explore exhibitors and participate in career orientated activities.

It’s free for the public to attend and registrations are now live at www.careersdayout.com.au.
