IT’S been a slow build in a male-dominated industry, but the fact is women have the right know-how and are more than capable of keeping up with the boys and their toys in the building industry.

Locally owned and operated, Total Tools on Benalla Road employs local people from diverse backgrounds based on their skills and experience, and almost half their employees are women.

Co-owner Haxhije Cox has seen the number of women tradies grow and thrive in the building game over the years and knows personally how skilled and knowledgeable the women in her team are about the tools they sell.

“Our team are experienced and no stranger to our products or the leading brands we stock. All our staff, both male and female, come from agricultural, trade and construction or mechanical sectors. I am thrilled to see more women joining trades and purchasing tools for themselves – it’s great!” said Haxhije.
