To mask or not

Dear Adviser Editor
I was a nurse for 20 years. We wore masks for carrying out procedures and infection control but not all the time.
Otherwise, breathing in stale air all the time is not healthy and fogs up glasses and it makes people feel insecure as they are unrecognisable to others. Social distancing yes but no to masks. They’re potentially dangerous and a trip hazard when they fog up glasses.
I have been informed Shepparton people are walking and cycling minus the mask. Good luck to them. I’m in a nursing home.

Yours sincerely,
Mary Grace
St Kilda.
