YOU will often see it around the country side and along the side of the roads, where people who have no social values dump their rubbish without any concern for anyone but themselves.
In the pristine area around Arcadia Downs, some individuals have decided this is the best area for their rubbish rather than going through proper channels such as the municipal tip or scrap metal dealers.
A local resident called The Adviser to say that during his walks over the last 12 months, someone or some people are dumping all sorts of rubbish on the side of Raftery’s track which is off Raftery Road.
And he said there is also rubbish being dumped at the end of River Road which is just past Arcadia Downs Drive.
The rubbish consists of a car wreck, car engine, old fans, piles of roofing tiles, rolls of carpet, suit cases and all sorts of other stuff and it’s being added to.
If you see or know of people dumping rubbish, report them to the police. The public space belongs to all of us, not just some useless individuals.
