MORE than just a meat processing company, Gathercole’s are a family-owned business operating throughout Victoria, providing high-quality beef and lamb from around Australia, while also boosting the regional economy with local jobs.

Gathercole’s Tatura facilities rapid expansion has created new job vacancies where locals are encouraged to be part of their growth.

The meat processing giant was established in Melbourne in 1974 and has grown to become one of the top 25 multi-species processors in the country. They supply Victorian wholesale and retail butchers from their three plants located in Tatura, Carrum, and Wangaratta, while also providing to lucrative markets in the United States, United Arab Emirates, Korea, and Pacific Islands through their Teir 2 Export accreditation.

The local meat processing company recently completed a new 15m high building in Tatura in 2021. The expansion almost doubled the size of their existing facility, allowing them to increase their processing and storage capabilities. The state-of-the-art premises in Tatura includes cold storage space for 20,000 lambs and amenities for their expanding workforce.
