DURING the 150th Shepparton Show, the McIntosh Centre will provide a place to pause, grab a bite to eat, discover local community groups and delve into the Show’s 150-year history.
A large collection of memorabilia and photographs spanning the Show’s history will be exhibited on Friday and Saturday. Visitors are encouraged to browse the artefacts and see if they can spot themselves, loved ones or familiar local characters among the images from years gone by.
On Friday, children aged three to five will take part in the Tiny Tots judging from 12pm. The Dog High Jump, open to any dog who likes to jump, returns at 6pm, followed by the All Breeds Youth Dairy Cattle Show, with judging also commencing at 6pm.
CWA light lunches and scones will be available daily from 10am to 6pm, providing a spot to enjoy a cuppa and something sweet during the day.
Visitors can meet members of GV Woodworkers, Crime Stoppers, Neighbourhood Watch and South Shepparton Community Centre. There will also be displays from Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre (MEAC) and GVGT Miniature Train Display.
And there is more to discover outside the centre, with the Arts & Crafts Pavilion offering a showcase of local talent. Open from 10am to 7pm on Friday and 10am to 8pm on Saturday, it will feature cooking, horticulture, photography, craft and art entries.
