THE official program for the 2024 Shepparton Festival, was revealed on Friday, February 23. Launching its 28th year, The Shepparton Festival will run April 5 to 21, offering 17 days of unique experiences in artistic expression.
Festival director Kristen Retallick highlighted some new offerings this year. Rather than setting up the festival hub in a building, Rhonda the Roving Festival Hub will be popping up around the region, providing an eye-catching way to book tickets and learn more about the festival.
“I’m very excited by our Call to Create solo exhibition, which will be displayed at GV Hospice. It’s a fairly new build and a new space so we’re keen to utilise it and welcome the community to see Shiro’s artworks during the festival,” Kristen said.
Amongst the line-up of performances, live music, exhibitions, workshops, and experiences, highlights include Opera and Ivory, a thrilling concert of opera, piano and cabaret, sung by international powerhouse, Allegra Giagu in collaboration with multiple ARIA award-winning Australian pianist, Sally Whitwell; An Item of Connection, an exhibition telling local stories a year on from the 2022 flood event; Tomorrow is a Brand New Day bringing Orchestra Victoria to Tatura Library for the kids.
You can volunteer at the 2024 festival by applying on their website, where you will also find their program and other information, including how to support the Shepparton Festival now and into the future. For more information, or to book, visit sheppartonfestival.org.au/
