Mayor, Campaspe Shire
Here in Campaspe Shire, we are lucky to have the best of both worlds when it comes to our communities and our natural environment.
Although our beautiful rivers have thrown us some challenges in recent years, the strength and resilience of our communities is such that we have been able to pull together to rise above what – at times – had seemed like insurmountable odds.
Our rich agricultural heritage, strong sense of community, and dedication to sustainability create a fertile ground for inspiring leadership and make it an honour to play a part in the advancement of our shire.

The people of Campaspe Shire are deeply connected to the land and to each other. This connection not only strengthens but also encourages leaders to prioritise the well-being of both the land and the community.
By providing opportunities for growth, collaboration and learning, Campaspe Shire empowers its residents to take on leadership roles, whether in local government, volunteer organisations, or business. This collaborative spirit fosters a culture of inclusivity through which diverse voices are heard — with a particular focus on engaging with and listening to our nine communities of priority — ensuring everyone has a chance to contribute to decision-making processes.
It is my hope that such wide-ranging opportunity for community input will continue to inspire new generations of leaders who are committed to creating a sustainable future for the region and for all who call Campaspe Shire home.
