BUILDING a successful business takes time and dedication and that is exactly what long-time business partners Murray Reid and Mario Rizzeri have achieved at Shepparton Carpet Court.
This year marks an impressive 30 years since the business was first established, a landmark achievement that reflects the strength of their partnership and the enduring trust they’ve built within the local community.
Founded in 1995, Shepparton Carpet Court was established through Murray and Mario’s combined industry expertise and their vision to offer high-quality flooring solutions backed by exceptional, tailored service. Partnering with the Carpet Court network, Australia’s largest flooring retailer, they opened their Melbourne Road location with a strong focus on professionalism, product knowledge, and customer experience.
From its early days as a small operation, the business has grown to employ a skilled team of eight carpet layers and support staff, servicing both residential and commercial clients.
As the business celebrates three decades of operation, it also marks a transition in leadership. Co-founder Murray Reid will retire at the end of the year and the business is proud to welcome Sam Cundari as new partner alongside Mario Rizzeri.
Beginning as a four-year apprentice at the business when he, himself was just 17, Sam has worked exclusively with Shepparton Carpet Court as a contractor. Bringing technical knowledge and experience to customer service, Sam is a natural fit to step into this leadership role. Taking on quoting and project coordination responsibilities while continuing to lay carpet, Sam is poised to bring practical insight from his years of hands-on experience to his new role.
On the cusp of retirement, Murray said:

“From humble beginnings to where it is today is quite amazing, really.
“I am retiring with full confidence that the business will continue to thrive with Mario and Sam at the helm.”
